Islamabad, November 21, 2023—A delegation from the Public Diplomacy Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Islamabad visited the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) office to meet with the Chairperson, PEIRA, Dr. Sayeda Zia Batool.
The U.S. Embassy delegation included Mr. Alex Noppe, Public Diplomacy Officer; Mr. Sharif Sabir, Program Management Specialist for Education; and Ms. Hina, Project Management Coordinator for Education. The meeting focused on potential areas for mutually beneficial collaboration, discussing opportunities to strengthen educational ties and explore joint initiatives that would benefit educational institutions and students in Pakistan.
They also addressed the U.S. Embassy's support and assistance for Pakistani students interested in applying to U.S. universities, outlining programs designed to facilitate higher education pursuits in the United States. It was agreed mutually to continue ongoing educational collaboration and address any emerging opportunities or challenges.
The Chairperson of PEIRA expressed appreciation for the U.S. Embassy's efforts to support education in Pakistan and looked forward to a fruitful partnership with PEIRA aimed at enhancing quality education opportunities for Pakistani students.
